Description
A small, mostly deciduous tree generally multi-stemmed with a narrow, rounded crown. Its foliage is feathery, glossy grey-green and droopy with new leaves a silver-bronze. Its bark is dark grey and rough in appearance. Its flowers which are pale blue to violet have a pea-like shape and hang in drooping bunches.
Natural Habitat
Naturally found in the bushveld, however can be found further north of South Africa including Swaziland.
Use in Landscape
A good choice for small areas which require a striking specimen, it can be used as a shade tree, as a street tree and is classified as a water-wise tree.
