Description
Usually a small decorative tree with blue, green slightly shiny leaves, flowering 2-3 times per season with light pink small trumpet-like flower clusters which become attractive empty brown shells. Flowers are aromatic and attract insects in general. The bark is smooth and grey, brown in colour. It can be single or multi-stemmed and produces a rounded shape.
Natural Habitat
Forest margin - from woody slopes to rocky valleys
Use in Landscape
Ideal for small gardens because it grows relatively fast and blooms at a young age. Can be used as a specimen plant on mixed beds or containers. it does work as a street tree. This tree is regarded water wise.
